I think this whole attempt to teach my boys about fashion might be paying off. I started with teaching them that Huggies Jeans diapers are a staple of the wardrobe because denim is so versatile. But, even with denim, there are some clear do’s and don’ts. My boys have certainly had some fashion disasters along the way — Boone’s Saturday outfit included striped socks, a Hawaiian shirt, an Army helmet and a knitted scarf — but it seems as though the guys are getting the hang of it. In fact, they’ve even surprised me with some of their choices. Take Wyatt’s ensemble, featuring a Huggies Jeans diapers and a sleeveless jacket. When he put this on, my first reaction was to say, “My God, Wyatt. You look like a hobo.” However, I realized his daring choice might be made by any number of bold thinkers like New York bike messengers or Midwest rock ‘n’ rollers. I mean, seriously, he looks like a member of a hipster indie band. He could definitely take this look to the Huggies virtual runway where every photo uploaded helps provide diapers to children in need through the Every Little Bottom program. If he wants to continue donning this outfit, though, he better pick up a guitar and start practicing.
