John’s Halloween costume pick: ROCKIN’ Halloween! It is no surprise that in a family that loves music as much as we do, Marlee absolutely LOVES to rock out with all her heart! From mellow and smooth to loud and crazy, the little girl puts her listening ears on anytime a tune starts to crank out. It comes as no surprise that for Halloween, lil’ Mar will be dressed in her rocker best, showing off her individuality and her passion for ROCKIN’. The shirt says it all. She likes it loud, so TURN IT UP! The stretchy, comfortable pants are a great match. Color coordinated, but standing out like a true rocker. The pants also provide a great fit over the Huggies Little Movers diaper underneath. These socks are meant for serious music-loving kids, while the hoodie keeps her warm and lets all behind her know, “Hey, I am here to rock the house!”   - John, The DaddyYo Blog

Jonna’s Halloween Costume Pick: “Why Can’t I Be You?” Frankly, getting my kid to wear any costume is going to be a mighty, mighty challenge. I think she gets it from me — I’m a bit of a Halloween Scrooge myself, and I think the last costume I wore was a ninja outfit, wherein I conveniently wore nothing but black. But oh, we’ve got a doozy for Sam this year, and versatile, too! I’ve mentioned before that she’s a little on the emo side (and how!), and since she’s always identified strongly with Edie Sedgwick, what better way to showcase her love for the Factory than by emulating the very man who brought Edie to life? That’s right, friends: No one said Andy Warhol always had to be played by a dude! And though her hair might not be the requisite platinum, it sticks out plenty, and with the right attitude, no one will dare question her.  But hold the phone! Or rather, add one: give the kid an iPhone to carry and throw on some frumpy sneakers, people will never guess she’s not Steve Jobs! Oh yes, Steve Jobs also coined the black turtleneck-faded jean combo as his own. But wait! There’s more! Yes, MORE! Halfway through trick-or-treating, if we get bored, we’ll just swap out the blue jeans and sneakers for some black leggings and boots, pump up the hair gel, have her chew on some lipstick and VOILA! Instant Robert Smith. Or even Siouxsie Sioux, minus The Banshees, unless you count the 18-month-old who’s wailing like one. Four costumes in one, y’all. The only constant? Her super-comfy Little Movers diaper.    - Jonna, Jonniker

Here’s Why Babies Love Music: I like to bop around in my Little Movers diaper to just about anything these days, and I’ve been listening to music since I graced the world with my lovely presence. While you might assume I just have an inherent love for indie rock and bubblegum pop (don’t judge), scientists have determined that there’s a rhyme and reason behind babies’ love of music. Who knew? Embrace Your Roots:  I’m the newest member of the Nuborn family, and sometimes I just can’t keep all of my aunties, uncles, meemaws, and peepaws straight. I’m loving these tree-themed wall decals and hope my parents create a cheat sheet for me so the holidays aren’t awkward. I’ll never live down the time I called my auntie “Nana”.   (via iVillage)   - Baby J. Nuborn, Current Events

My baby Toby kicks and wriggles all day long, so before bedtime, I treat him to a massage. Here’s how I do it…

Step one: I dim the lights, undress him down to his Little Movers diaper and lay him on his back.

Step two: I softly massage his forehead in tiny circles, and I lightly trace my fingers down his forehead, nose and cheeks.

Step three: I gently and slowly rub his tummy and arms.

Step four: I massage his two teeny feet.

Step five: Then I flip him over onto his belly, and rub his back in swooping circles.

Step six: Finally, I do a (very light) karate chop on his back, which makes him do a toothy grin.

My baby is such a steadfast Little Mover that he even wriggles during his massage, but it’s a sweet bonding time nonetheless. I’d highly recommend it to moms and dads out there! xoxo

Make Your Own Dollhouse: I’m starting to learn how to treat my toys with a little more respect and have also realized that most of them don’t taste nearly as good as they look, so I think I’ll be ready for more big kid toys in no time. Since I’m still getting used to being nice to my toys, this dollhouse made out of old magazines seems like a good starter home for me. (via ohdeedoh)   - Tattle Tot, Pop Culture

Well, This Is One Way To Calm Your Baby Down:

Let’s face it: babies wake up in the middle of the night. While I usually expect to be rocked back to a peaceful slumber, this dad decided to just climb into the crib, which instantly calms this Little Mover down. They look snug as a bug in a rug!

Baby Gaga Halloween Costume: Funny or Nightmare Fuel? If I had to select any of Lady Gaga’s looks for a Halloween costume, this one would NOT be it. Yikes! Maybe I’ll just be a kitty this year.  (via The Frisky)   - Tutu Couture, Fashion

Give Your Babies Team Spirit: I’m not sure about your parents, but mine are completely devoted to their favorite college football team these days.  I don’t quite understand the thrill of it yet, so I’m happy to just nap my way through the game. I hope they deck out my crib with these team sheets so I can still feel like I’m supporting the team even when I’m sawing logs on Saturday afternoons. (via College Buddies USA)   - Baby J. Baby-proof Your Electronics: Calling all Moms and Dads! You know those fancy phones, MP3 players, and other electronics that you handle as gingerly as you held us when we were brand new? Yeah, they’re just bright, shiny toys to us. And what do we do to toys? We chew on them, throw them, and inevitably destroy them. Save your beloved electronics with these kid-friendly protective cases and holders! (And don’t forget to download that lullaby app, okay?) (via lilsugar)   - Baby J. Nuborn, Current Events

Baby Crawling Races!

While it seems like all the grown-ups are focused on football season, we babies are eagerly awaiting the upcoming baby racing season! These Little Movers are so speedy, you might miss them if you blink. Okay, maybe they aren’t THAT fast, but it is fun to watch. Am I right?

Hey there, hot wheels! This new stroller is equipped with a skateboard on the back, which is oh so cool. Your older brother can pretend he’s a super cool skateboard dude or you can hop on for a ride when you get tired of just being strapped into the stroller seat. This is going to send my cool kid cred through the roof on my block! (via Babble)   - Baby J. Nuborn, Current Events
