Throw Another Record On:
My parents have a very impressive record collection, and I think those old vinyls are terribly fun to toss around, much to their chagrin. In an effort to teach me music appreciation, they got me this sweet little record player. I hope the record store has some good jams for this stereo.

Hopscotch Rugs:
Babies are movers and shakers by nature, and the arrival of cooler weather brings with it a cruel reality: our outside playtime is quickly dwindling. Our remedy for shaking the “stuck inside blues”? Hopscotch rugs! We’re going to be jumping all over in our Little Movers diapers this winter with these fun playroom mats.

Popularity Contest:
Want to find out how popular your Little One’s name is these days? This game pits two names against each other and compares the popularity of each name. This is one popularity contest that I am more than happy to lose.

Halloween Costume Ideas:
Babies tend to get put in ridiculous outfits year-round. But, on Halloween, everyone looks just as silly as we do! (What, you think we WANT to be wearing the matching knit hat and booties made by great-aunt Magda? I think not.) Here’s my Halloween costume wish list for this year!

The Secret To Perfect Pasta Is…:
This little chef leads us through a quick and easy pasta cooking demo in a way only a toddler could. Who knew you put a curse on the pasta if you talk while the water is boiling? Valuable information, people!

Get Moving!
Babies across the nation, I urge you to get up and get movin’! Thanks to things like shaped diapers, we can be comfy and dry while we explore the world. Here’s a list of 101 fun activities, tips, and suggestions for active babies.
Here are a few of our faves:
1. Appreciate the important role of movement in young children’s development.
2. Recognize children’s differing movement capabilities and promote learning experiences that challenge each child to move to the next level of individual development.
3. Provide daily physical activities for infants that enable them to explore movement and the environment.
4. Each day, plan for at least 30 minutes of structured physical activity and from 60 minutes to several hours of unstructured physical activity for toddlers.

Pasta, You Will Be Mine!
Yuk it up, chuckles! Do you have any idea how tricky spaghetti is to eat? Like walking, it takes a lot of practice. After months of soft, gummy foods, cooked pasta proves to be less friend and more foe for this little guy. Keep trying, buddy. We’ve all been there!

Funny Baby Hats:
The chill of fall is settling in, and my baby noggin tends to get cold pretty quickly. I’m loathe to think that I would don a boring old hat, so these wacky chapeaus will add a bit of whimsy to my fall attire. Even better, some can double as Halloween costumes!

Mix and Match Socks:
Keep your tootsies warm and toasty this fall with these super cute socks. I love to pull my socks off when my parents aren’t looking, so the fact that they are intended to be mixed and matched is a definite plus, seeing as I have few complete sets of socks these days.

“This is exactly what it looks like when a nine-months pregnant woman attempts to tie her shoes. It takes three or four attempts to get everything lined up just so she can see her own feet, and we get just as excited when we finally figure it out.”
“Wow, this brought me back to growing up in the 70s! Bottled water? Nah, the garden hose was all we needed. But it goes deeper than that. If ever there were a metaphor for my childhood, I think this would be it. My parents taught by example. They gave me the tools to succeed but let me find my own way. They filmed every step of the way and laughed. Enlightenment via broadband. Cheaper than a plane ticket to the Himalayas.”
“Oh the thirst for success. Driving people to extraordinary lengths. Going with the flow that comes their way, and not afraid to get a little wet while along for the ride. Nothing like the sigh of relief when one feels accomplished.”
“It learns how to drink, or it gets the hose! It learns how to drink, or it GETS THE HOSE!”

Sticky Bellies Milestone Stickers:
How cute are these milestone stickers? I’m totally in love with these things and can’t wait to toddle around proudly proclaiming my age. For some reason, my Mom seems less than willing to wear one with her age on it. I can’t quite figure it out!

Balance Bikes:
I’m a baby on the move thanks to my shaped to fit diaper. However, I’m still a little wobbly when it comes to this whole walking thing, but this bicycle looks like it’ll have me running laps around the backyard in no time!

Poetry in Motion:
Remember our friend who so eloquently recited “Litany” for us a few weeks ago? He’s back with a new poem and it’s just as amazing as the first one.
