9 Months in 3 Minutes:

This cute video shows one Mom’s growth as her pregnancy progresses. So THAT’S what it looks like from the outside. Fascinating!

Baby Blanket Bonanza: A great baby blankie is a must for babies, along with lots of cuddle time, toys that make noise, and shaped diapers. I wouldn’t mind curling up with any of these cozy looking options! (via Shine)  - Tutu Couture, Fashion

My three-month-old baby
is obsessed with three things: naps, milk and our bookcase. Whenever I rock him, he’ll stare over my shoulder at the shelves filled with graphic novels, magazines and art books. His eyes will get so wide, and his expression so focused, that it makes us laugh; and at bedtime, I even have to turn my chair away from the bookcase so he’ll be able to close those little eyes and fall asleep.

So it made me smile when I saw this adorable video of a three-year-old boy who loves poetry! He memorizes gorgeous (and long!) poems and recites them to his mother. Here, he makes his way through “Litany” by Billy Collins. How incredibly sweet is that? Ahh, it makes my heart hurt. He’s going to be a serious heartbreaker on the playground scene.

We babies always try to keep things fresh and fun for you guys, so we thought it would be nice to introduce you to a new friend, Joanna Goddard of A Cup of Jo . In addition to posting on her personal blog, she’ll be lending her wit and wisdom to Highchair Critics every Tuesday. A new Mom to little Toby and a loyal Huggies Little Movers diapers user, you may also know Joanna from her blogging days at Glamour Magazine. We’re so excited to have her here on Highchair Critics! Here’s a quick note from Joanna: I’m so excited to be blogging for Highchair Critics! When Toby was born at the end of May, my life changed in ways I’d never imagined. Apart from taking two-minute showers and wearing shirts covered in spit-up, I am amazed by how much I can adore one stinky little person so much. I live for his smiles and giggles! They say that when you have a child, your heart lives outside you, and now I completely understand. So, it’s a thrill to be blogging about all things baby, and I can’t wait to share.

The Jig Is Up:

Sure, St. Patrick’s Day is months away, but that isn’t stopping our friend from practicing his Irish jig. I hope he’s rocking a  shaped diaper so he can move freely while practicing his fancy footwork.

Baby’s first lemon:

You mean people actually LIKE these sour yellow things? Blech, I tried one once and couldn’t drink enough milk to get the taste out of my mouth. DO NOT WANT.

What can’t this thing do? Okay, so I really only appreciate its bright green color, but my parents just can’t stop talking about how great this convertible baby seat is. I may or may not be getting slightly jealous. Hello, I’m a BABY! (via ohdeedoh)   - Tutu Couture, Fashion

Beat the heat with homemade popsicles: These hot summer days are really getting to me, but hopefully these refreshing homemade popsicles will cool us down. Bonus: they feel so good on my aching gums! (via Daily Candy)   - Baby J. Nuborn, Current Events

It’s the little things in life that bring babies joy. You know, like tearing paper. No, seriously. It’s HILARIOUS.

There are few things that are more comforting than my  Little Movers diapers, but I’d consider this book of bedtime stories one of them. Whew, speaking of which— I sure could go for a story and nap right now. (via Cool Mom Picks)   - Baby J. Nuborn, Current Events
